The questions that really matter before retirement

Most people plan their next vacation more carefully than 30 years of retirement.

Will it cover our standard of living?

The pension gap is usually bigger than expected – especially on a good income.

Can we afford our plans and dreams?

Travel, hobbies, grandchildren: dreams need a planned budget.

What will my income sources be?

Only the right structure turns assets into reliable monthly income.

What's left after taxes and health insurance?

Plan with gross figures and you'll miss hundreds of euros a month later.

How do I pass on wealth wisely?

Settled early means less inheritance tax and no family disputes.

What about the property?

Keep, rent out or sell – the overall plan provides the answer.

For sons & daughters

Worried about your parents' finances?

Many requests now come from the next generation: people between 30 and 45 who want to clarify early what happens in a care situation, how to avoid inheritance disputes and whether their parents are truly well set up. The Retirement Check is made for exactly that – ideally together with your parents.

Long-term care

Who really pays? What can children be liable for – and how can you still cover the risk today?

Powers of attorney & will

Without a power of attorney and a clear estate plan, it's not the family who decides in an emergency. We show which documents matter now.

Inheritance without conflict

Early, transparent arrangements and well-used tax allowances keep wealth together – and the family, too.

FAQ

Good to know

What does the Retirement Check cost?
Nothing. The Retirement Check is free and without obligation. Only if you later decide to implement recommendations with Martin do costs or commissions arise – discussed transparently beforehand.
Who is the Check for?
Especially for anyone around 50+ retiring within the next 5 to 15 years – employees and self-employed alike, including internationals working in Germany. The earlier you plan, the more room you have. Children who want to raise the topic for their parents are expressly welcome.
What is a DIN 77230 analysis?
DIN 77230 is the German standard for the basic financial analysis of private households. It objectively defines which topics are analyzed in which order – independent of products or providers. You get a structured, traceable analysis instead of a sales pitch.
Do I need to prepare documents?
A rough overview is enough for the first meeting (pension statement, existing contracts, assets). You'll receive a short checklist beforehand.
Is the consultation online or in person? In English?
Both are possible – most meetings happen conveniently via video, in English or German, and family members can join from different locations.
Does the Check replace tax or legal advice?
No. Where needed – e.g. for wills or complex tax structuring – we work with tax advisors and specialized lawyers, or recommend involving them.
